Sample components included with the Pega Customer Relationship Management for Insurance suite

The installation media for the Pega Customer Relationship Management for Insurance suite of applications includes sample Pega Customer Relationship Management applications, which include a shared application, sample access groups, sample operators, and sample integration rulesets. In addition, sales territories and sample sales data are provided.

Sample applications

Shared applications structure

Pega Customer Service for Insurance and Pega Sales Automation for Insurance ship with an integration ruleset that is built on a shared customer relationship management application. To use the Pega Marketing application, install that application separately.

The Pega Service Cases for Insurance application contains service cases that you can leverage across insurance applications. The Pega Service Cases for Insurance ruleset (PegaInsServ) is included in both Pega Customer Service for Insurance and Pega Sales Automation for Insurance.

If needed, the top ruleset of the ruleset stack is the Localization ruleset.
PegaCSISamplePega Customer Service for Insurance sample application that contains the Pega Customer Relationship Management for Insurance stub rules overridden to support Pega Customer Relationship Management for Insurance use cases. This application contains sample data for demonstration purposes, such as dialogs and data transforms.
SalesAutomationforInsurancePega Sales Automation for Insurance application that contains the integration ruleset CSIforSAI at the top of the ruleset stack, followed by the sales automation and customer service rulesets, respectively.
SAISampleSales Automation for Insurance sample application that contains the SAISample ruleset for aging Sales Automation data. The SAISample_SysAdmin operator is the only operator that has this ruleset. The tools menu for the SFAi for Sales Ops portal has an added option to Reset Sample Data. When the SAISample_SysAdmin operator launches the SFAi for Sales Ops portal and selects Tools from the left navigation panel, the Reset Sample Data option is present.

Shared base application

PegaCRMBase is a shared application that contains shared rulesets, such as PegaCRMBase, PegaFW-NewsFeed, and MKT-Integration.

  • The PegaCRMBase ruleset that contains rules, such as properties, data pages, when rules, and classes, that can be reused by the Pega Customer Service for Insurance and Pega Sales Automation for Insurance applications.
  • The MKT-Integration ruleset is an integration ruleset that contains REST services, data pages, classes, and properties that are used to connect to the Pega Customer Decision Hub application.
  • The PegaFW-NewsFeed ruleset contains RSS features that are shared by the Pega Customer Service for Insurance and Pega Sales Automation for Insurance applications.

Pega Foundation for Insurance application

Pega Foundation for Insurance is a shared application that contains the following shared rulesets:

  • PegaInsure-Int - An integration ruleset that contains integrating services and properties used to connect to Pega Underwriting for Insurance.
  • PegaIns-Product - Contains rules such as properties, sections, data pages, activities, and other rules that can be reused by Pega Customer Service for Insurance and Pega Sales Automation for Insurance.
  • PegaInsure - Contains Insurance common objects that can be reused by Pega Customer Service for Insurance and Pega Sales Automation for Insurance.
  • Piif - Contains the classes and properties that are the basis for the Pega Foundation for Insurance internal data structures.
  • IIFUI - Contains the user interface rules for Pega Foundation for Insurance that can be reused by Pega Customer Service for Insurance and Pega Sales Automation for Insurance.

Sample operators

In a Pega Customer Relationship Management for Insurance configuration, the applications include the following sample operators.

For security reasons, sample operators are disabled by default, and can be enabled for use in the sample application. You can copy Pega Customer Service for Insurance sample operators to create new operators. To create new Pega Sales Automation for Insurance operators, use the Operator maintenance feature available to Sales Operations operators. Pega Customer Service for Insurance and Pega Sales Automation for Insurance include the following integration rulesets to support Pega Customer Relationship Management for Insurance use cases.

  • SAIforCSI – This ruleset is available in the Pega Customer Service for Insurance application and contains Pega Sales Automation for Insurance rules that override Pega Customer Service for Insurance rules. The override rules include harnesses, data transforms, data pages, and sections that are required to present Pega Sales Automation for Insurance service cases in the Pega Customer Service for Insurance portals.
  • CSIforSAI – This ruleset is available in the Pega Sales Automation for Insurance application and contains Pega Customer Service for Insurance rules that override Pega Sales Automation for Insurance rules. The overridden rules include harnesses, data pages, data transforms, and sections that are required to present Pega Customer Service for Insurance service cases in Pega Sales Automation for Insurance portals.
