Preloading a data page

Updated on November 22, 2021

You can use the Load data page shape to preload a data page that displays information to a user in a screen. By preloading a data page, you reduce the time that it takes for a screen to display information to a user.

  1. Add the Load data page step before a step in which the data page displays information on a screen.
    1. In the navigation pane of App Studio, click Case types, and then click the case type that you want to open.
    2. On the Workflow tab, click Life cycle.
    3. Hover over a process in a stage, and then click + Step > More > Utilities > Load data page.

Tip: For advanced processes, click Configure process to add the shape to the flow canvas.

    4. Click Select.
  2. In the Data Page Name field, press the Down Arrow key and select the data page that you want to preload.
  3. Optional: Specify values for any parameters that are passed to the data page, for example, UI elements or non-UI rules.
  4. Click Save.
