Best practices for challenges

Updated on October 25, 2022

Here are some best practices to keep in mind when creating a challenge:

  • Limit the challenge to a single skill. For example, Sending email during case processing, or Using reports to observe the contact center.
  • Start the first task in the challenge by writing the login instructions in the following format:
    For example:
    1. In the Pega Instance for the challenge, enter the following credentials:

      1. In the User name field, enter <user name from Scenario>.

      2. In the Password field, enter <password from Scenario>.

Note: The structure of this step might vary depending on the configuration of your exercise system.
  • Challenges should take no more than 20 minutes to complete. Challenges should never exceed 30 minutes in duration.
  • Limit challenge walkthrough videos to 5 minutes.
  • If applicable, include a Confirm your work section. Use the steps in this section to guide the learner in testing their work. Always include expected results.
