Image Hotspots

Hotspots

  1. Add one or more hotspots to the background image. A default hotspot is provided on the background image.

    Each hotspot contains three attributes:

    • Hotspot position: Click anywhere on the image to set a hotspot. The green circle indicates the position of a new hotspot. You can reposition the hotspot by clicking again on a different area of the image.
    • Header: The header is the title of the hotspot and is required for accessibility. The header is revealed when the user clicks the hotspot button and when assistive technologies are used.
Note: If your hotspot does not need a title, at the bottom of the interaction, click Text overrides and translations section > Image Hotspots, and then, in the Hotspot label for assistive technologies field, enter Click to view details.
    • Popup content: The popup content can be text, video, or another image.

Image Hotspot review process

Pega Academy cannot yet track changes made to interactive content, so edits are manually tracked. Use this guide to learn how the revision process works for Image Hotspots.

If the Image Hotspot interaction consists of images only, the content editor leaves feedback as a Pulse note in the Agile Studio task card.

The reviewer (for example, editor, SME, or PO) uses the following process to copyedit interaction text:

  1. The editor copies the text contents into a Word Document.
  2. The document is edited with Track Changes on so that the content developer can review and then accept or reject the changes.
  3. The editor attaches the revisions to the corresponding task card.
  4. The content developer makes the changes and may send for another round of review, if necessary.
