Configuring browser certificate settings for OpenCTI Finesse (UCCE or UCCX)

Updated on September 13, 2021

In the Pega Call application, the OpenCTI implementation tries to establish a Bidirectional-streams Over Synchronous HTTP (BOSH) connection with the Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) server. BOSH is a transport protocol that emulates a bidirectional stream between two entities, such as a client and a server, by using multiple synchronous HTTP request/response pairs without requiring the use of polling or asynchronous chunking. To successfully establish a connection, the BOSH URL entered in the browser must be treated as a trusted site.

For the browser to treat the BOSH URL as a trusted site, configure the certificate requirement settings in the browser. If you do not configure this setting, the following error message is displayed:

Error: OPENCTI_HTTP_ERROR_0 Unable to connect. Verify network.

For example, to access the Bosh URL and the primary Server Host URL, configure the security settings in your browser.

If your browser is not listed here, configure the certificate requirement setting by using the respective browser online help.
