Adding coverage locations, dispatchers, and field workers to a service territory

Updated on October 6, 2020

As a business administrator, after you create a service territory, populate it with coverage locations, dispatchers, and field workers. You cannot schedule work for locations that are not included in a service territory, hence add the coverage locations to one or more service territories. Add a dispatcher to a service territory to enhance the visibility of the service territory to the dispatcher in the Dispatcher portal. Add a field worker to a service territory to indicate that the field worker will be assigned jobs that are created in that service area.

Before you begin: Create a service territory, coverage location, field worker, and dispatcher before populating the service territory. For more information, see Creating a service territory, Creating a location, Creating a field worker, and Creating a dispatcher.
  1. In the Pega Field Service Admin portal, from the left-panel menu, select Service territories.

  2. Select a service territory.

  3. Click Add next to the Coverage locations, Field workers, and Dispatchers sections.

  4. Click Add after adding each item in the sections.
