Creating the implementation application only

Updated on September 18, 2020

Run the New Application wizard to create your implementation application. If you are creating your implementation application on top of a framework application, follow the instructions in Creating an implementation application on top of a framework application.

Pegasystems recommends that you extend from the PegaHCCore foundation application and include the optional applications (listed in the Application Overview section earlier) in your application rule based on your envisioned solution.

If your solution needs to leverage all the optional add-on applications, Pega Foundation for Healthcare also provides a pre-configured application rule called PegaHC that can be leveraged for extension. This application has all the applications configured in the appropriate order.

Finally, if you are creating a new application leveraging one of the Pega Healthcare Applications (e.g. Customer Service, Care Management etc.), you can skip this step and create your baseline application by following the steps included in the Implementation Guide of the said Healthcare Application.
