To define an insurance product, create a new taxonomy structure for your specific product hierarchy, and then create the product structure. For more information, see the Pega Product Builder for Insurance User Guide on the Pega Foundation for Insurance product page.

1. To create a new taxonomy structure:

   1. In the header of Dev Studio, click Configure > Framework Management > Tools > Product Structure.
   2. Click Edit taxonomy and define the new taxonomy structure for your product.
   3. Click Submit.

2. To create a new product structure for the taxonomy you created in Step 1:

   1. Click the Add Node link and then enter a name for the product.
   2. Click Submit.
   3. Create the product structure, and then click Save.
