Understanding Monitor Assignments reports in the Monitor Activity workspace

Updated on September 20, 2019

Summary

Monitor Assignments reports gather and present information about the open assignments in one application (work pool). An open assignment is one that has not yet been completed by a user. Open assignments are associated with a worklist or workbasket.

Monitor Assignments reports are important in that they list assignments that are past their goals and deadlines and show assignments by organization so, for example, you can determine which group might need help. Open assignments also represent a backlog of work for human operators. In addition, these reports can show you the contents of worklists and workbaskets.

Summary Reports

The following are descriptions of the summary view reports in the Monitor Assignments category.

External assignments by operator

Summarizes open external assignments (instance of the Assign-External class), an assignment sent using email to someone who does not sign on to Process Commander directly, produced through the directed Web access feature.

Also allows you to monitor an external operator's progress in completing external assignments.

Click a row to open the work item in review or perform mode as well as the history or attachments of the work item.

Problem assignments

Summarizes assignment problems with counts by error type. An aid for debugging, it lets you find problems that may be caused by application design or implementation issues.

Administrators can research and often repair these assignments.
