Withdrawing a change request

Updated on June 29, 2022

In Pega 1:1 Operations Manager you can withdraw change requests from the current revision.

Pega 1:1 Operations Manager Documentation Center
Use this feature if you need to close the current revision quicker than anticipated and remove any work-in-progress change requests. If your change request in no longer needed in the current revision, you can remove it and it will remain in the system in Resolved-Withdrawn status. You can discard the changes made by the change request that are no longer needed or relevant.
Note: If you want to remove the change request from the current revision, but avoid losing your work and be able to use this change request later, you should follow the steps to defer the change request.
You can withdraw standard change requests (CR) and operations change requests (OpsCR).
  1. Withdraw the change request:
    ChoicesActions
    Using 1:1 Operations Manager
    1. Log in to Pega 1:1 Operations Manager.
    2. In the left navigation pane, click Change Requests.
    3. Open the required change request.
    4. Click ActionsWithdraw.
    5. Confirm the withdrawal by clicking Yes button in the Withdraw change request window.
    Using Revision Management landing page
    1. Log in to Pega 1:1 Operations Manager as the Revision Manager.
    2. Go to Revision Management and click the name of Current revision.
    3. In the Change requests within this revision table, click the More iconWithdraw next to the change request that you want to withdraw.
    4. Confirm the withdrawal by clicking Yes button in the Withdraw change request window.
A withdrawn change request moves into Resolved-Withdrawn status. The changes in the application are reverted by the system to the original status, and newly created artifacts are deleted.

As a Revision Manager, you also can withdraw a Resolved-Completed change request.

Note: When you try to withdraw a change request, you might receive the following message: This action is not allowed as 'CR-123 - Xyz' has dependency on 'CR-789 - Abc'. If you want to withdraw 'CR-123 - Xyz' first withdraw 'CR-789 - Abc.' If you receive this message, follow the instructions, and then withdraw the dependent change request.

For more information about dependent change request, see Viewing dependent changes.

For example: A change request (OpsCR2) has been resolved to create U+App Promotion action, but few days later the company canceled this promotional offer. Now, you need to remove the change from the current revision before packaging. The Revision Manager can use the Withdraw option to undo the changes made by the OpsCR2.
