Updating from Pega Platform version 7.3 or earlier: Updating service email rules to reply to Pulse email notifications

If you configured service email rules in Pega Platform 7.3 or earlier, following an update, you must add required fields in order for your applications to reply to Pulse email notifications correctly.

  1. Open the Records Explorer to search for the service email rule that you created to configure replies to Pulse email notifications.

  2. Expand the Integration-Services category and click Service Email.

  3. Click the service email rule that you created for Pulse email replies.

  4. In the Message header section on the Request tab of the service email, add the following fields:

    Field nameDescriptionMap toMap to key
    Message-IDMessage-IDClipboard.pyInboundEmail.pyMessageID
    In-Reply-ToIn-Reply-ToClipboard.pyInboundEmail.pyInReplyTo
    ReferencesReferencesClipboard.pyInboundEmail.pyReferences
  5. Save the Service Email rule.

  6. Restart the email listener that is configured with the service email rule.
