General and personalized recommendations

Updated on October 7, 2021

Pega Next-Best-Action Advisor can generate two types of recommendations that consist of bundles of different actions: general and personalized.

General bundles
General recommendations are a type of fixed bundles built at design time on the Action form. They differ from standard fixed bundles in that the bundle membership is defined on the bundle parent action. These can be dual play, triple play, or quad play, depending on the number of actions that they include.
For example, if a bundle contains three actions, it is called triple play.
Personalized bundles
Personalized bundles are created by the customers as they move through the interface and select from the available actions.

Both types of bundles are managed by the strategy rule and the real-time container.

Note: Any custom strategies or properties that you use in the process must reside in the top-level Strategy Result class.
