Extending the treatment sections in Pega 1:1 Operations Manager

Suggest edit Updated on September 21, 2021

To enable additional treatment properties in Pega 1:1 Operations Manager, extend CustomWebTreatmentElement section.

  • The changes required to extend treatments must be handled in the Enterprise pipeline in both the Pega Customer Decision Hub and Pega 1:1 Operations Manager implementation applications.
  • Any new properties that you add to treatments will not be visible for Pega 1:1 Operations Manager change requests that have already passed the Build stage, or for Decision Data rules that were already in a branch before you added the property.
  1. Log in to your Pega Customer Decision Hub application as an operator with access to Dev Studio.
  2. In Dev Studio, find the following extension sections and save them into your Pega Customer Decision Hub implementation layer:
    Extension section name Treatment type
    CustomEmailTreatmentElementEmail
    CustomWebTreatmentElementWeb
    CustomMobileTreatmentElementMobile
    CustomSMSTreatmentElementSMS
    CustomPushTreatmentElementPush
    CustomAssistTreatmentElementAgent assisted
  3. Include the sections that you added in a revision:
    1. In Dev Studio, click ConfigureDecisioningInfrastructureRevision ManagementApplication Overlays.
    2. Click on the overlay application to view it.
    3. In the Rules available for revision management section, click Edit available rules.
    4. Select othe extension sections that you created in step 2.
    5. Click Include for revision management, and then click Save.
    6. In the Pega Customer Decision Hub portal, on the Revision Management landing page, create a new change request, and include the rule that you enabled for revision management in step 1f.
    7. Click Next, and then submit the change request.
    8. Open the change request that you created.
    9. Open the associated Decision Data rule and section, and add or create a property in the data-pxStrategyResult class.
    10. Complete the change request and package the revision.
  4. Log in to the Pega 1:1 Operations Manager application.
  5. If the CustomAttributesPresent When rule is not already present in your Pega 1:1 Operations Manager implementation layer, click Save as to save it, and then set the condition for the rule to true.
  6. Save the extension sections that you created in step 2 into your Pega 1:1 Operations Manager implementation layer, and then edit them to include the required property.
Note: If required, save the property into the data-pxStrategyResult class in your Pega 1:1 Operations Manager implementation layer.
Result: When you create a change request in Pega 1:1 Operations Manager, after completing the Build stage, the new treatment properties are visible on the associated Decision Data rule form.
