Creating operator accounts in Pega 1:1 Operations Manager

Updated on May 30, 2022

Review the list of available user roles and access groups, and create operator accounts for your users.

While creating operator accounts, make sure to enable the Allow rule check out option on the Security tab of the operator account.

Tip: After creating the first operator record, open it in Dev Studio, and then click SaveSave as. This operation creates a new operator record with all the settings and preferences that you previously entered.

After you create operator accounts for users of your implementation application, you can invite them to log in at any time.

To learn about best practices for creating an organizational architecture for Pega Customer Decision Hub, see Business Agility in CDH: Organizational Architecture.

Important:

Because Pega 1:1 Operations Manager follows best practice guidelines for case management, the same operator may not combine different user roles. For example, the same operator may not request a change, and then approve their own change request. To execute the entire change request process, make sure to create operator accounts in the BusinessUser, TeamLead / RevisionManager, and NBASpecialist access groups.

You must assign at least one operator to the TeamLead access group as their default access group, otherwise Pega 1:1 Operations Manager does not work correctly.
