Assigning and dispatching a work order in the Pega Field Service Dispatcher portal

As a dispatcher, you can assign an unscheduled work order to a field worker to perform the work. You can also dispatch it so that the assigned field worker receives the work order on the mobile device and the customer receives a confirmation email.

Before you begin: Create a work order. For more information, see Creating a work order in the Pega Field Service Dispatcher portal.
  1. In the Pega Field Service Dispatcher portal, to open an unscheduled work order, from a list of Unscheduled jobs, click a work order.

  2. On the work order page, click Actions.

  3. Click Schedule.

  4. Define a date range.

  5. Click Search to search for the available slots of various qualified field workers in a service territory.

  6. Select the desired slot.

  7. Click Schedule.

Result: The work order status changes to Dispatched.
