Creating a new skill

The skills and certifications associated with a field worker determine what work the field worker can perform. Skills are defined by the organization.

As a business administrator, perform the following task to create a new skill.

  1. In the Pega Field Service Admin portal, click OrganizationSkills & CertificationsSkillsNewSkill.

  2. In the Create skills window, in the Name field, enter a skill name.

    For example: Carpentry.
  3. Click Create.

Assign skills and certifications to the field workers to track their areas of expertise. For more information, see Assigning skills and certifications to field workers and Creating a certification.
