Extending procurement validations

Updated on May 6, 2021

The default validate rule checks several fields of the procurement form for correct input. For example, if the expected end date is earlier than the expected start date, the application displays an error message. Extend this rule to validate other fields, for example, the procurement type.

  1. In Dev Studio, search for and open the ValidateProcurementDetails validate rule of the PegaPS-Data-Procurement class.

  2. Add a new validation entry by clicking the + icon.

For example, in a procurement for services, validate whether the procurement type is Formal.

For more information about modifying validate rules, see Validate form - Completing the Validate tab.
