Updated Pega Government Platform course

The Pega Government Platform Foundation Mission on Pega Academy, describes numerous features that help accelerate development and implementation of business use cases.

The following are the features of the updated PGP course:

  • Provides a high-level overview of the technology stack on which PGP is built.
  • Provides a synopsis of the application features.
  • Describes components that serve as building blocks for implementation.
  • Describes public sector specific data models and entities.
  • Introduces resuable and configurable components available in Pega Government Platform.
  • Talks about configurable App Studio components that can track progress, evaluate needs, and generate score for the same.

Program configurator

Agencies can now manage their licensing and certification processes by interacting with constituents and corporate entities. Using the program configurator omni-channel tool, you can meet customer needs more effectively and efficiently.

In program configurator, you can configure a new license by providing the required data. The program configurator includes license configuration, a comprehensive application that streamlines licensing and certification application process from start to finish, including evaluations, document upload, and its verifications.

The program configurator enables you to do the following:

  • Provide seamless, and simple licensing and certification processes for constituents, businesses, facilities, and vehicles.
  • Reduce processing and minimize touch points to provide straight-through processing.
  • Provide a modern government platform to meet future requirements and enable policy changes by business users.
  • Reduce project implementation time and accelerate project delivery.
  • Improve communication and interaction with constituents and businesses through omni-channel interactions.

Application request

The application request case type enables you to apply for a program or any of its descendants, for example, a license. Using application request, you can bring all the services of your organization under one case type.

The application request case type allows business users to streamline application processes, such as capturing entity details, document intake, consent agreement, and so on from start to finish. The business managers can review and approve the attached or uploaded documents, review the checklist, evaluate the process, and approve the application.

Enhanced activity plan in Cosmos

You can now initiate activity plans using the existing templates or by creating a custom template based on the use case. You can apply an activity plan to various business use cases including procurements and investigation applications.

Pega Government Platform allows you to make necessary changes to the existing activity plan before initiation. You can now assign goals and tasks to individual users by selecting from the existing list of users.

In the investigation case type, you can edit an already launched activity plan to add existing goals or tasks or to create custom goals and tasks.

Ability to create new activity plan templates

Using the activity plan landing page, you can now create an activity plan template to use in an ICM case, by selecting the existing template. You can save time by using the activity plan templates, because you do not have to create an activity plan during an ICM case creation.

You can accomplish the following using activity plan templates:

  • View goals, tasks, and SLA definitions in activity plan templates.
  • Edit the existing activity plan templates along with goals and tasks.
  • Edit the goals and tasks which can be further used in the investigation case type either by selecting the existing, or by creating a custom activity plan.
  • Deactivate an existing activity plan template.

Enhanced ICM Report of Investigation

Using the case report component, you can now generate a report of a case which contains the data that is captured using various other components that are available in the system. This helps you analyze the information from a single place.

You can now generate a Report of Investigation in both PDF and Microsoft Word formats. You can display data, such as subject, evidence, and assessments from various sections in a tabular format. The ROI component is flexible, allowing you to choose to include data, such as evidence, subjects, interviews, and assessments from various sections to be a part of the end report.

Operator Case Involvement (Touch) reporting

As an operator, you can now create reports about the work done in a specific time period, and share the reports with supervisors. These reports allow you to monitor real-time efficiency and success.

Note: You can generate Operator Case Involvement reports only for the work done in the Investigation case type.

Entity preview for association widgets

As a case worker, you can now preview the associated entities. You can quickly preview the content of an entity, on a separate panel, without opening the entity. You can navigate and manage entities more efficiently by using the preview feature to display the most important information.
