Adding the Pega Robotic Automation Importer component to applications 8.4.1

Updated on February 11, 2020

When you install and configure the Pega Robotic Automation Importer component, and then configure a data page with Robotic Desktop Automation as the source, you are prompted with a list of the automations that are available in your application. This functionality boosts productivity and simplifies configuration, because you do not have to manually enter the names of automations.

Before you begin

Download the Importer component from Pega Marketplace.

Uploading the Importer component to a Pega application in your Pega environment

  1. In the header of Dev Studio, click the name of your application, and then click Definition.
  2. Click Manage components.
  3. Click Install new.
  4. Select the Importer component from your local disk.
  5. Select the Enabled check box, and then click OK.

Result: The component is displayed in the list of application components.

The Pega Robotic Automation Importer is now attached to your application. As a result, your application translates automation package metadata into Robot Connector rules. For more information, see About Connect Robot rules.
