Can you customize the menu options that display when you click the Runtime icon?

Suggest edit Updated on September 10, 2021

To customize the menu options that appear when you right click the Pega Robot Runtime icon in the system tray, open the RuntimeConfig.xml file and modify the options in the RuntimeMenuTray section. For example, Workforce Intelligence associates can use this option to open the Enter Expected Hours window.

The following list is a summary of the items that you can place on the menu:

  • LoadLocalProject – Loads a local project.
  • LoadWebProject – Loads a web project.
  • Unload – Unloads projects.
  • RecentProjects – Loads recently accessed projects.
  • LoadMostRecent – Loads the most recently accessed project.
  • About – Displays the Robotic Automation About box.
  • ReportProblem – Lets you report a problem.
  • DiagnosticConfiguration – Displays the Diagnostic Configuration dialog.
  • TestConnection – Lets you test connections with Pega Robot Manager.
  • ShowOutputWindow – Displays the Output window.
  • ExpectedHours – Displays the Enter Expected Hours window.
  • Exit – Exits Robot Runtime.
  • LoadedProjects – Inserts a placeholder where a list of the currently running projects displays.
  • Separator – Adds a separator line. You can add separator lines to group items to improve readability.

For more information on these options, see Runtime configuration settings.
