Download Pega RPA software

Updated on June 7, 2023

Pega RPA includes tools that you can use to create, implement, and manage robots that automate daily tasks in your work environment. Pega RPA consists of the following downloadable components:

  • Robot Studio
  • Robot Studio Plug-in
  • Robotic Automation OCR Essentials
  • Robot Runtime
  • Robot Manager
Tip: For a trial version, and to learn more about Pega Robotic Automation, see Robotics System Architect and Pega Robotic Process Automation Overview.

Use Robot Studio and the Robot Studio Plug-in to create, test, and deploy robotic automations. Robot Runtime provides a runtime environment for the robots that you create. Use Robot Manager to manage the robots and automations throughout your organization. Download the Robotic Automation OCR Essentials if you use the screen-scraping technique to automate applications.

Note: Robot Studio requires either Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 or the Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Isolated Shell, with each requiring Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Update 3. If you already have Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 with Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Update 3 installed, you can simply download the Robot Studio Plug-in and install it. If you plan to use the Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Isolated Shell, which is installed with Robot Studio, or have Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 installed but do not have Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Update 3 installed, create a support ticket on My Support Portal to get Update 3. Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Update 3 is no longer available directly from Microsoft.
    1. Open My Pega in a new tab.
    2. Hover over the Software tab, and click My Software.
    3. From the top-right corner of the screen, under the Organization field, verify the company affiliation. If needed, click the arrow to select a different company.
    4. In the Search field, enter robot.
    5. Select the components that you want to install.
    6. Under My Download List, click Next.
    7. In the Version field, select the version that you want to install.
    8. In the Release field, select the latest build for that version.
    9. Click Submit Request, and then click Download.

The My Software site downloads the components that you selected. Pega also sends an email with a link to the software download page. You can use this link to download the software again, if needed. If you use Robotic Automation OCR Essentials to create your automation, you need this component and Robot Runtime to run the automation.

For information about the system requirements and installation instructions for Pega Robotic Automation components, see the installation guides, available from the Robotic Automation product page.

Note: For more information about the My Software site, click Tour My Software.
