After you adjust the application to your needs by setting up your sales team structure, configuring the sales process, and customizing the User portal, you can populate the application with your data by importing it into the Pega Sales Automation application. As part of the import process, you must analyze and prepare your data to ensure the correct mapping of the fields into the application, and then choose an import method that meets your business requirements.
To import your data into Pega Sales Automation, you use comma-separated values (CSV) files. Pega Sales Automation maps the columns in the CSV files to fields in the data model by using templates. The following image outlines the data import process:
