Converting a lead into an opportunity

In Pega Sales Automation for Healthcare, you can convert a qualified individual lead to a Medicare or an individual opportunity and a qualified business lead into a small group or a large group opportunity.

Pega Sales Automation Implementation Guide
  1. Log in to the User portal as one of the following roles:
    • Sales Representative
    • Sales Manager
    • Partner Sales Representative
    • Partner Seller Manager
  2. In the navigation pane of Pega Sales Automation for Healthcare, click Leads.
  3. Optional: On the Leads landing page, filter leads by type for easier navigation.

  4. Click a lead that is in the Qualified stage.
  5. Click ActionsConvert lead.
    Lead conversion
    The Actions menus shows the Convert lead action for a qualified individual lead.
  6. In the Convert lead dialog box, in the Market segment list, select an opportunity type.
    • For individual leads, select Individual or Medicare.
    • For business leads, select Small group or Large group.
  7. For business leads, select whether the converted lead belongs to a new or existing organization:
    ChoicesActions
    New organization
    1. Click To new organization.
    2. In the Organization name field, enter a name for the new organization.
    Existing organization
    1. Select To existing organization.
    2. In the Organization name field, enter the organization name.
    3. In the Account field, enter the account name.

      Note: If organization and account information is provided during lead creation, the information autopopulates the fields.
  8. Select whether the converted lead belongs to a new or existing contact and provide contact information:
    ChoicesActions
    New contact
    1. Select To new contact.
    2. In the displayed fields,enter contact information.
    Existing contact
    1. Select To existing contact.
    2. In the Contact list, select an existing contact.
  9. Select how you want to convert the lead into an opportunity:
    ChoicesActions
    Create a new opportunity
    1. Select To new opportunity.
    2. In the displayed fields, enter required information.

      Note: Fields in this section are specific to the opportunity type.
    Add to an existing opportunity
    1. Select To existing opportunity.
    2. In the Opportunity list, select an existing opportunity.
    Note: This option is available for individual leads only.
    Do not convert to an opportunity
    1. Select Do not convert opportunity.
  10. Click Submit.
