To check for any duplicate claims that are similar to the current claim and add an exception if found use the
Pega Warranty searches the
RepairOrderNumber, VIN or
CausalPartNumberattributes to check for duplicate claims. The values
are passed as parameters to the report definition from the data transform. The report
definition fetches the results that are sorted based on the creation time. As a result,
the first result is the most recent duplicate.
The pyID of the first result is
set in the
RecentDuplicateClaimID property on the claim unit. This
property is used in the
ExceptionCodesMapping decision table to set the
