Pega0048 alert: Page copy time and waiting time is more than loader activity execution time for data page

Suggest edit Updated on January 21, 2022

The PEGA0048 alert identifies issues in asynchronous data page processing. This alert is triggered when a findPage request has been made, but the background thread has already started running the loader activity. In this case, the user thread must wait until the background thread completes execution of the loader activity. The alert displays the duration of the page copy time and the loader activity execution time in seconds.

Example message text

Page copy time and waiting time [contextPagesCopyTime + adpWaitTime] s is more than loader activity execution time [bgLoadTime] s for data page [dpName] having pzInsKey=[pzInsKey]

The log displays the step where the condition occurred, the page name, and the pzInsKey identifier.

Reason for the alert

This alert is triggered when a findPage request has been made, but the background thread has already started running the loader activity. Reposition the calls to submit the request to load the page to the background requestor and the calls to find the page. Allow enough time for the background thread to pick up the job for processing.
