PEGA0109 alert: Total stream request time has exceeded the threshold of N ms

Suggest edit Updated on January 19, 2022

The PEGA0109 alert is triggered when writing to a Stream REST endpoint exceeds the configured total request time threshold. The threshold is defined in milliseconds.

The total request time is the time required to process a request, that is, from the moment that Pega Platform™ receives the service request from an external system until Pega Platform sends the response back to the external system or client.

The PEGA0109 alert is based on the following Performance Analyzer (PAL) counters:

  • pxStreamWriteCount
  • pxStreamWriteTimeElapsed
  • pxStreamOutputBytes

Example message text

Total stream request time has exceeded the threshold of 10 ms: 96ms

Default prconfig.xml settings

By default, the threshold is set to 1000 milliseconds (1 second):

<env name=" alerts/stream/ingestionTime/threshold" value="1000" />

For more information, see Changing node settings by modifying the prconfig.xml file.

Recommended next steps

Verify that the Stream service is enabled and in a healthy state. For more information, see Configuring the Stream service and Monitoring Decision Management services.
