Designer Studio

Numerous usability improvements were made for this release. A group of cosmetic, functional, and performance enhancements were also included.

• Treegrid controls work more quickly in IE9 and IE10.
• On application ruleforms, the 5.4 "Place Properties on Thread Page" checkbox will work in 7.1.
• Message error handling has been improved.
• Log messages have been cleaned up.
• Connectors may now be used in Data Pages.
• Move Rules wizard has been enhanced to work in Version 7.1.

Reporting

This release had a focus on extending key capabilities to improve the functionality and ease of use of reporting features based on early adopter feedback.  A series of cosmetic changes and fixes are also included.

• Multiple boxes may be checked on List view checkboxes
• Dashboard Charts slider has been improved.
• Summary View reports and charts have been enhanced.
• Column properties can be added to a report in the Report Editor.
• List view column widths can be set by Smart Info.
• Listviews will display correctly for updated systems.
• Improvements to the GuardRail Report.

Design-time limitations in express mode

Some limitations apply when you develop an enterprise application in express mode. At design time, some features are disabled or have limited options when you configure them in Designer Studio and switch to express mode. The use of these features does not restrict the run-time behavior of your application; however, you cannot change the configuration of these features unless you switch from express mode to Designer Studio.
