PRPC 6.3 enhancements improve the appearance, ease-of-development, and power of report definitions, as well as other reporting capabilities, for users of both the Designer Studio and Case Manager portal.

Charts

PRPC 6.3 offers a larger set of chart types and more attractive presentation of charts, and supports a wide range of browsers. At runtime, users can switch between two-dimensional and three-dimensional chart presentations.

Report Editor

When working with a report using the Report Editor, you can rapidly switch between using simulated data and live data. The simulated presentation provides a faster display for the report format and structure.

You can use drag-and-drop operations to add and reorder columns.

Business Intelligence Exchange (BIX)

The Business Intelligence Exchange 6.3 add-on product allows you export PRPC data to be imported into a data warehouse or other databases. BIX is included with the PRPC 6.3 media. Topics in the 6.3 Application Developer help system describe the Extract rule form and basic BIX operations.

Search enhancements

You can now use a Report Definition to retrieve data from the Lucene search index. Search is upgraded to Lucene 3.5.

A Data Transform, pySearchModel, can now be specified for a class. It lists the properties beyond the default set of properties that are returned in search results for that class.

Standard reports

All standard reports provided in the 5.X Monitor Activity workspace (in the Manager portal) are re-implemented as report defintiions, eliminating dependence on older-style list view and summary view rules.
