Deleting dedicated indexes

You can delete dedicated indexes when you no longer need them. When you delete a class’s dedicated index, the instances of the class are indexed in the relevant typeless index ( Work- or Data- ). When you delete a class’s custom properties search instance, the instances of the class are indexed in the parent class’s dedicated index.

You must have the pxAccessSearchLP privilege to access the Search landing page.

1. Click Designer Studio > System > Settings > Search.
2. Click Delete next to the dedicated index that you want to delete.
3. Click Save Settings.
4. Rebuild the Work- or Data- index to ensure that all the data is indexed in the right place.
