Advanced settings for a new application

You can configure the following advanced settings when you create an application.

Application settings

  • Framework – Adds one class layer to the built-on application. You can reuse or extend a framework application later.
  • Implementation – Adds one class layer to the built-on application. Implementation applications are typically not extended because they are specialized.
  • Application ID – Enter an identifier for the application. This identifier must start with a letter, and contain only letters, numbers, and hyphens. If you do not specify an identifier, the system creates one.
  • Version – Enter a number to identify the version of this application record.

Organization settings

  • Organization name – Enter a name that is used to create organization, division, and unit rules, and to prefix class names within the organization layer. Alternatively, press the Down Arrow key to select an existing organization.
  • Division name – Enter a name for the division in your organization. If you selected an existing organization, you can press the Down Arrow key and select a division that is in it.
  • Unit name – Enter a name for the unit in your division. If you selected an existing division, you can press the Down Arrow key and select a unit that is in it.
