Creating an alternate stage

Create an alternate stage to define an out-of-sequence event or exception in the life cycle of a case.

For example, you can use an alternate stage to process the cases that managers reject.
  1. In the navigation panel of App Studio, click Case types, and then click the case type that you want to open.
  2. On the Workflow tab, click Life cycle.
  3. Click + Alternate stage , and enter a unique name in the text box that is displayed.
    Tip: To convert a primary stage to an alternate stage, select Set as alternate stage from the menu next to the stage name.
  4. Optional: To let the case worker decide which stage the case enters after this stage, select Wait for a user action in the stage property panel.
  5. Click Save.
