Building an Android app

To create a custom mobile app from a Pega Platform -based web application, so that your users can install it on their Android devices, navigate to the Channels and interfaces form in Dev Studio.

1. In the Build your application panel, select the Android switch.
2. Set up a certificate set for the app:
   • If a certificate set does not exist, click New and create a certificate set.
   • If a certificate set already exists, select an existing certificate set.
3. Optional: Specify custom mobile app versioning by expanding the App version section:
   • In the Version field, enter the release version for your app. For more information, see Auto-incrementing app version.
   • Select the Set build version check box, and in the field that appears, enter the build version for your app. For more information, see Setting the app build version.
4. Optional: Select a specific version of the client.
5. Click Save.
6. Click Build now.

The files are sent to the build server and are used to build the .apk file for the Android app.
