Testing push notifications

Before sending push notifications from the push notifications console, you can test the push notifications capability for your custom mobile app or SDK mobile app. Testing push notifications helps eliminate issues when, for example, you are using a firewall or a secure connection (SSL).

You can immediately find out whether you have correctly configured the push notifications services for the Android and iOS platforms (Apple APNs and Google FCM) for your mobile app and whether the push notifications services are available. If the push notifications console displays an error for the Android or the iOS platform for configuration, connection, or service test step, you can download a log file with error details.

1. Access the Push Notifications console.
2. Click the Test tab.
3. Click Test push connection.
4. Optional: If errors occurred, click Download log to obtain more information about the error.
