System data instances

System data instances are occurrences of your Pega Platform system. They are instances of the data-admin-system rule.

Your system can include more than one data-admin-system instance. However, only one is in current use. The data-admin-system instance in current use is identified by the Identification/SystemName value in the prconfig.xml file or in the dynamic system settings.

Note: This is only for on-premises environments.

You can specify the production level and environment name of your system data instance, as well as the number of concurrent sessions and lock time-out.
