Configuring the Facebook channel

You use the Facebook channel to build a conversational user interface for Pega Intelligent Virtual Assistant to interact with a Pega Platform application by using Facebook Messenger. Users can enter commands in the Facebook Messenger chat window to perform predefined actions such as displaying a menu of commands or creating cases for the application.

Before you begin: 

To use Pega Intelligent Virtual Assistant for Facebook in your application, you must obtain and install the Facebook channel component from Pega Exchange. For more information, see the Configuring a Facebook chatbot Pega Community article.

  1. In the Explorer panel, click Interfaces.
  2. Click a Facebook channel interface.
  3. Add chatbot cases. For more information, see Adding cases for the Facebook channel.
  4. Add chatbot custom responses. For more information, see Adding custom responses for the Facebook channel.
  5. Configure chatbot text analyzers. For more information, see Configuring text analyzer definitions for the Facebook channel.
