Calling an automation from an activity

Call an automation from an activity without using a Java step.

1. In the navigation panel of Dev Studio, click Records.
2. Expand the Technical category and click Activity.
3. Click in the row of the activity from which you want to call an automation.
4. In the Method field of the appropriate step, select Call-Automation.
5. Expand the step to view the method parameters.
6. In the Resource field, select the type of automation that you want to call.
7. In the Automation field, select the automation to call.
8. Complete the Map from and Map to fields for the inputs and outputs for the automation you are using.
   You can view a description of these fields by viewing the automation rule. For more information, see Viewing automations.
9. Click Save.
