Enabling table personalization

Enable the personalize table option so that application users can save their preferred settings after they adjust the data display to their needs.

Personalization can include custom grouping by fields, row height, column visibility, order, and width, as well as sorting, and filtering.
Note: The configuration specified by users at run time takes precedence over the design-time configuration.
Before you begin: Create a table. See Creating a table layout.
  1. In the Section form, click the table, and then click the View properties icon.
  2. Optional: To display the Save view button on a table toolbar, in the Layout properties window, for the Optimize code parameter, select the Allow check box.
For more information about the table toolbar, see Configuring the table toolbar.
  3. For the Personalize table parameter, select the Allow check box.
  4. Optional: To automatically save a personalized view, select the Save personalization automatically check box.
Note: When you choose this option, the Save view button does not appear on the toolbar and column filter personalization is not saved.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. Click Save.
Result: At run time, users click the Save view button to save a preferred view of a particular table or discard a previously saved view.
