Finding rules by ruleset, version, or rule type

To find rules updated today, based on a specific field in the rule data, such as the rule type or create time, complete the following steps. You do not need to know the exact value for a particular field. For example, you can find rules by name by only specifying a partial string and choosing the Contains condition.

  1. From the Criteria to find rules list, select Find by Ruleset, Version, Rule Type.
  2. From the Field list, select a property for which to search. Each entry displays the label (description) followed by the property (name).
  3. From the Condition list, select the method to evaluate the strings specified in the Value field.
  4. Click the Pick a Value icon to open a new dialog box displaying all available values based on the selected field property. The value you specify here is placed in the Value field and evaluated against the selected Field property. Select the check box for each value you want to evaluate against the selected Field property and click Apply. Results match at least one of the specified values.
  5. Click Submit.

Finding rules by circumstance

To view rules with a property, date , or template circumstance defined, complete the following tasks.

  1. From the Criteria to find rules list, select Find by Circumstance.
  2. Enter search criteria in the Search Criteria pane.
  3. Click Search.

Each row in the Results section displays details about the circumstanced rule, such as the property, template, and value evaluated during rule resolution. Icons next to the rule type indicate if the rule is circumstanced by a date property or template.
