Making mobile apps available to users

To use a mobile app that you configure for a Pega Platform application in production, configure an operator role to provide users with access to your mobile app. When you develop a mobile app for aPega Platform application, for example, an expense reporting app for users on a business trip, you give yourself and other authors permissions to preview and test the mobile app. When you complete the development stage, you make the mobile app available to users by assigning the mobile interface to their corresponding role, for example, User.
  1. In the navigation pane of App Studio, click Users, and then click Personas.
  2. In the Role area, next to the role that you assigned to the users of your Pega Platform application, in the Channel interface list, select a mobile channel.
  3. Click Save.
Result: The mobile channel is now available to users with the role that you selected.
What to do next: You can generate the mobile app distributable files that let end users access your application. For more information, see Generating native mobile apps.
