Function Alias rules — Overview of the Generated Output tab
After you save the rule, the pattern text and signature are completed from information in the function rule and the Reference tab. If they are not what you intend, update the Reference tab and save the Function Alias form again.
Note: You cannot alter this generated text.
Java function alias
- Pattern Text
- Prompt text, shows the text of the function alias as it appears on selection lists in decision rule forms. Clicking the Preview toolbar button displays the text of the function alias after a users selects this alias from a selection list.
- Function Signature
- Generated signature of the function alias, used internally.
SQL function alias
- Pattern Text
- Prompt text, shows the text of the function alias as it appears when used in a Report Definition report. Clicking the Preview toolbar button displays the text of the function alias after a users selects this alias from a selection list.
- Function Signature
- Generated signature of the function alias, used internally.
- Echo Text
- The text that represents this SQL function alias when used in a Report Definition report.
