Adding a Text control

Updated on November 15, 2021
Applicable to Theme UI-Kit applications

To help users understand the structure of a layout and get a general idea what the content groupings within the layout include, describe the content and the purpose of layout elements by including formatted text in cells and headers in a layout.

  1. Open the section that you want to modify.
  2. In the Design tab, from the Data display list, drag Text onto the work area.
When you drag the Text control onto a cell in a cell-based layout, the control replaces the current contents of the cell.
  3. Optional: To specify additional options for the control, click the View properties icon.
For example: You can select a property to source the data from a page list or page group or define the data format of the control.
  4. Click Submit.
  • Configuration options for the Text control

Learn about the text control configuration options that you can use to customize the control. For example, you can select the format of the data that is displayed, specify visibility of the control, assign an ID for the testing purposes, and fine-tune the styling of the control.
