In App Studio you can now completely configure an approval email in a no-code and user-friendly way, so that users of your application can approve or reject cases without logging in to an application, and as a result speed up case resolution. You can design personalized and relevant content for approval emails directly in App Studio Case Designer. For example, you can create a message that includes a case ID that your application autopopulates at run time, such as The case LoanRequest-123 is waiting for your approval. Previously composing an email message and adding attachments required switching to Dev Studio. To save time, you can then save your messages into a template library for future reuse, as well as choose from the default templates that Pega Platform™ offers. By adding attachments to emails, you can provide more information and context that users might need before giving their approval, and help them to make better decisions.
To reach wider audiences, you can also enable approval through push notifications for mobile apps, and then define notification messages that are relevant to different users. Users can approve or reject a case directly through the notification, without logging in to an application.
