What's new in Process Commander V5.3 - Troubleshooting

Suggest edit Updated on September 10, 2021

Released in July 2007, Process Commander V5.3 offers dozens of new capabilities for developers, application users, and system administrators, and resolves issues found in earlier versions. For an overview, see What's new in Process Commander 5.3.

These enhancements provide developers and system administrators with additional tools to monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot application configuration and performance.

Tracer tool enhancements

The Tracer has been enhanced to save unprocessed events in a temporary disk file (on the server), rather than in JVM memory. This change frees up JVM memory and allows for larger buffer sizes (controlled through a prconfig.xml file setting.) As a result, gaps should no longer arise from lost events in high-volume Tracer sessions. .

You can download Tracer output as an XML file or in familiar Comma-Separated Values format.

The Run > Trace Open Rule menu option now works for activities as well as service rules. As a result, you can trace one activity of interest without enabling Tracer output for all activities in a RuleSet.
