Enabling Wait Time reporting

Updated on June 30, 2021

Enable Pega Robot Runtime to capture wait time data for recording and analysis in Pega Workforce Intelligence.

The default reporting thresholds should suffice for most implementations, but you can customize the thresholds so you get the exact amount of data you want. Reporting thresholds set a baseline for including or excluding wait time intervals.
  1. In the RuntimeConfig.xml file for each Pega Robot Runtime installation, under the HighLevelEvents section, set the WaitTimeEvents key to enabled. For more information, see High level events in the Runtime Configuration XML file.
  2. In the HighLevelEvents section of the RuntimeConfig.xml file, review the secondsForWaitTimeThreshold and secondsForWebPageLoadThreshold settings and modify the defaults if you want to increase or decrease the amount of data captures. These keys default to two seconds, which means that Robot Runtime records any wait period that is two seconds or longer.
  3. In the header of Pega Workforce Intelligence, click AdministrationWait Time.
  4. On the Wait Time Administration page, review the Reporting Threshold field and modify it if you want to increase or decrease the amount of data that Workforce Intelligence includes in its reports.
Robot Runtime only sends to Workforce Intelligence the data that meets its wait time thresholds. Workforce Intelligence only includes on its reports the data that meets the threshold you set in the Reporting Threshold field. For more information, see Customizing the reporting threshold for wait time.
