Managing data collectors

Updated on May 5, 2021

Add, move, and edit data collectors to accurately reflect changes to your company's workforce.

Data collectors are the associates or employees whose job functions are performed primarily on the desktop and whose activities are reported on and summarized by Pega Workforce Intelligence. Data collectors must have Pega Robot Runtime installed on their computers. Robot Runtime gathers the information Workforce Intelligence presents.

You can make changes to a single data collector or small group of data collectors using various editing screens in Workforce Intelligence, or you can use the Import feature to make bulk changes to a large number of data collectors at one time.

  • Creating data collectors

Add a single data collector or small number of data collectors to reflect minor changes to the organization.

  • Selecting a data collector

Use filters to quickly find a specific data collector.

  • Editing data collector information

When changes occur in your organization, you might need to modify a data collector’s information.

  • Joining data collectors

To assist with data analysis and reporting of data collector that use multiple IDs, you can join all of the IDs into a single data collector .

  • Splitting data collectors

If you joined data collectors by mistake or need to split joined data collectors for specific reporting needs, you can split data collectors.

  • Importing changes to data collectors

Efficiently complete a large number of changes to data collectors by importing bulk changes using a CSV file.

  • Enabling the Enter Expected Hours window

Allow associates (data collectors) to enter the hours they expect to work during their shift by enabling the Enter Expected Hours window. Analysts can then view this information on Pega Workforce Intelligence charts and reports.
