Including indexed data during case search

Enable search for a case type to ensure that users can find cases based on any text, partial or full, that matches indexed case data.

Before you begin: Contact your system administrator to ensure that the indexing/useDataInstances dynamic system setting is set to true.
  1. In the navigation pane of App Studio, click Case types, and then click the case type that you want to open.
  2. On the Settings tab, click Search and reporting.
  3. Click Enable search.
  4. Optional: To make reporting faster without putting additional requirements on the database, click Generate dedicated index.
