Updating the access group for an IVA channel

Updated on April 7, 2021

You cannot authenticate from your Pega Intelligent Virtual Assistant™ (IVA) unless you set the access group for the channelLogin and channelMgmt service package rule to the access group for your Pega Platform application.

Before you begin: For the IVA for Alexa, install the IVA component from Pega Exchange.
Note: By default, the access group for the channelLogin and channelMgmt service package rule is set to PRPC:Administrators.
  1. Switch to Dev Studio.
  2. In the navigation panel of Dev Studio, click Records to display the Records Explorer.
  3. Click Integration-Resources, and then click Service Package.
Result: The system displays a list of service package rules.
  4. In the Service Package Name column, click the channelLogin rule.
  5. In the service package rule, in the Service access group field, enter the access group for your Pega Platform application.
  6. Click Save.
  7. In the service package list, repeat steps 4 through 6 by editing the channelMgmt service package rule.
  8. Switch back to App Studio.
What to do next: In Pega Platform, set up the channel for your IVA.
