Kafka as a streaming service

Suggest edit Updated on July 30, 2021

Kafka is a high-throughput and low-latency platform for handling real-time data feeds that you can use as input for event strategies in Pega Platform™. Kafka data sets are characterized by high performance and horizontal scalability in terms of event and message queues. Kafka data sets can be partitioned to enable load distribution across the cluster.

Note: Pega Platform supports Apache Kafka versions 1.0.0 through 2.8.0. For information about creating Kafka data set instances, see Creating a Kafka data set.
