Suggest edit Updated on June 30, 2021

Add a new servlet, without editing the web.xml file, by cloning and modifying existing servlets where necessary.

Note: When you make changes in Servlet Management, you need to restart your system for the changes to take effect.

  1. In the header of Dev Studio, click ConfigureSystemSettingsServlet Management.
  2. On theServlet Management landing page, click Add servlet.
  3. In the Servlet name field, enter a label for the servlet.
  4. In the Purpose field, enter a description why you want to add the new servlet.
  5. In the Servlet authentication type field, enter the authentication type used for the servlet.
  6. In the Initialization parameters section, click the Add link, and then enter the name and value of the initialization parameters that you want to add to the servlet.
  7. In the URL patterns section, click the Add link, and then define any additional URL pattern to the servlet.
The first URL pattern is the same as the pattern that appears in the Servlet name field.
  8. Click Add.
  9. For the changes to take effect, you must restart your entire environment.
