Creating operator accounts

Create operator accounts for users of your implementation application, and then assign them to the predefined user groups.

The New Application wizard for Pega Customer Decision Hub creates the following default access groups:
your implementation application:CDHAdmins
This is an access group for administrators. The default portal for operators in this access group is the App Studio workspace in administrative mode for the Pega Customer Decision Hub portal. This access group also grants access to Admin Studio, Prediction Studio, and the Pega Customer Decision Hub portal.
your implementation application:CDHAnalysts
analysts and other marketing users. The default portal for operators in this access group is the Pega Customer Decision Hub portal. This access group also grants access to Prediction Studio.
your implementation application:CDHManagers
This is an access group for managers. The default portal for operators in this access group is the Pega Customer Decision Hub portal. This access group also grants access to Prediction Studio.
  1. Log in as a Pega Platform administrator.
  2. Create an operator account using one of the above access groups:

  3. Complete the Profile tab.
  4. On the Security tab, in the Access settings section, configure access settings for your operator ID:
    1. Select Allow rule checkout.
    2. Click Update password, enter the password for this operator, and then click Submit.
    3. Click Save.
  5. Log off and log back in as the operator that you created.
  6. In the operator preferences, disable the Auto checkout on save as setting.
    For more information, see Setting your user preferences.
    Tip: After creating the first operator record, open it in Dev Studio, and then click SaveSave as. This operation creates a new operator record with all the settings and preferences that you previously entered.
What to do next: After you create operator accounts for users of your implementation application, you can invite them to log in at any time. To invite users to your application:
  1. Log in to the Pega Customer Decision Hub portal as a user in the your implementation application:CDHAdmins access group, and then click Dev StudioApp Studio.
  2. In App Studio, click UsersPeopleInvite people to your application.
